On the way to York....a beautiful misty early morning at Windermere
An unusual combination in the sky. I wonder if the people in the basket have seen it.
York Minster from the city walls.
The steps of York Minster....Prince Andrew, who amongst other things is the Colonal-in-Chief of the Yorkshire regiment....taking the salute at this formal celebration in which over 1000 serving and retired personnel took part.
Crowded streets.
And pretty streets....the famous Shambles.
As you get older.....the police get younger...and younger.
The York Eye....towering over the city and the Railway Museum.
One of the many exhibits...the Mallard...once the fastest train in the world...perhaps they should get it running again.
Sheds full of trains, carriages, bric-a brac and memorabilia....it's a wonderful place for everyone to visit....and it's free.
Night time...to the cabaret at the race course. Andy Abraham the runner up in the X factor last year...wonderful voice.
Bobby Davro the comedian....very funny..very rude.
And who remembers the Batchelors...now only two of them...and wearing well.
