Second of two parts - The Island of Tresco...46 pictures.
Leaving St Mary's for Tresco with.......one or two other people. St Mary's is quiet when the boats to the islands have departed in a morning. Tresco is leased from the Duchy of Cornwall by the Dorrien-Smith family who live on the island in Tresco Abbey.
Probably the most exposed of all the lighthouses around our coast.....Bishop Rock Lighthouse.
New Grimsby Sound running between the islands of Tresco and Bryher.

From the southern tip of the island walking north on the east coast.......Bathinghouse Porth and the Eastern Isles beyond.
Timber collection yard and mill. Every conceivable bit of old wood is collected here....fallen trees, cuttings, roots, drift wood etc to be cut and split and used as fuel by the islanders.
