A welcome change from a cold and wet July to a cold and wet August......but some nice moody days....and even sunny ones.
Early morning mist on Loughrigg Tarn.....William Wordsworth described Loughrigg Tarn as 'A most beautiful example' and was responsible for giving the tarn it's nickname Diana's looking glass after Lake Nemi, the 'mirror of Diana' in Rome's Alban hills.

Tragically sometimes it all goes wrong....some years ago a schoolboy drowned here. The cross is a permanent reminder of fickle fate.
