The Fairfield Horseshoe is one of the most popular walks in the Lake District. The full round of the horseshoe is approximately 12 miles, beginning either from Ambleside or Rydal. These photographs are from part of the horseshoe, starting from Rydal Church, and walking up over Nab Scar, Lord Crag and onto Heron Pike and finally Erne Crag.
