Tarn Hows....the Fairfield Horseshoe in the distance.
....the Langdale skyline in shadow.
The sun on the Tarn and Wetherlam.
.....and the Coniston Fells.
Busy on the very few nice days that July has given us up to now.
Car park shopping centre.
And the new visitor centre .....
.....and for those who have not had the pleasure of seeing inside a gents toilet.....
Lily Pads.
An example of an irresponsible dog owner that gives all dog owners a bad name.....if you can't control your dog it should be on a lead. This one was chasing sheep and forced this terrified ewe to jump into the tarn to escape.....sheep never go into water. They hate it.
....has she forgotten something?
......a lucky escape....this one managed to get out after the dog had been taken away. Over the years I have seen several drowned sheep in the tarn - more than likely chased in by dogs.
The sunlight filtering through the trees..........
Three young Red Stags munching branches and showing off their new velvety antlers.
Rose Castle
The flanks of Wetherlam.
Looking towards Wansfell.
Langdale Pikes.
Rain clouds coming in over Dunmail Raise.........
Kentmere skyline.
Evening sun on the lily pads.
Rain arrived....with a rainbow.
