Les is a local reformed alcoholic who has turned his life around. Since giving up his 20 pints of beer a day addiction, he walks the fells most days. A week on Sunday he is going to walk from Ambleside to the Westmorland General Hospital in Kendal wearing nothing but a bow tie...walking boots and a thong to raise money for the hospital.
