An unusual sight on Ambleside High Street....the start of Liquid Les's charity walk from Ambleside to the Westmorland General Hospital 16 miles away at Kendal...a good choice for a destination....it was below freezing this morning. A kind and thoughful motorist stopped so that he coule sit on the bonnet to warm his backside....he also had it pinched a few times to keep him moving. It was a very successful effort....the money raised going to the Hospital and to Cancer Research
It started to snow yesterday lunch time....not as much as down south, only a dusting at valley level but quite a lot above 500ft. The following pictures are around Tarn Hows late afternoon
